Black 17 Media • Phonk Music Collaboration

I directed and produced the CG cinematic sequences for a series of music videos, a key component of a strategic collaboration between Gameloft's Asphalt franchise and the phonk music label Black 17 Media. This partnership, titled the "Phonk Event," integrated the music of leading phonk artists into the Asphalt universe. The collaboration featured in-game events in Asphalt 9: Legends, where players could earn exclusive "Phonky" style decals. The event showcased tracks from prominent Black 17 Media artists, including Kordhell, Visxge, and a duo by Onimxru & Strawangle.

My primary role was to create the high-energy CG intros and outros for three official music video remixes: Kordhell’s "Murder in My Mind", Visxge's "IMMACULATE", and "PSYCHO CRUISE" by Onimxru & Strawangle.
For these sequences, I managed the entire production, from scene layout and set dressing to vehicle animation. My technical responsibilities also included executing physics and fluid simulations to achieve a dynamic, game-inspired aesthetic. I further enhanced the final renders with supplementary 2D frame-by-frame animations.
