FF 91 2.0 Futurist

Through The Storm

I directed and produced the cinematic trailer that introduced the Faraday Future FFZERO1 concept car to the Asphalt 8: Airborne universe. This project centered on creating a powerful, atmospheric film that captured the futuristic and high-performance nature of this all-electric vehicle.

The creative concept I developed was a battle against the elements, a narrative of resilience where the car is pitted against a violent storm. The visual storytelling relies on dramatic flashes of lightning to reveal glimpses of the car, building suspense and highlighting the sharp, aerodynamic lines of the FFZERO1. This contrast between darkness and light, chaos and control, culminates in the vehicle emerging victorious as the storm gives way to a clear, bright dawn, symbolizing the triumph of high technology.

Leveraging the real-time capabilities of Unreal Engine was crucial to the project's success. It allowed for rapid iteration and on-the-fly experimentation with lighting, camera trajectories, and even variable frame rates to accentuate the sense of incredible speed and action. My role was to direct this entire process, ensuring the final trailer delivered a moody, visually striking experience that balanced a sense of struggle with a powerful, optimistic conclusion.
