"Race Through History" Trailer

To celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Asphalt franchise, I created a cinematic trailer that launched a major in-game event featuring the Lamborghini Sián FKP 37. My core creative concept was to bridge the franchise's history, marrying the retro, pixelated aesthetic of the original Java mobile games with the polished, high-definition visuals of the modern era.

The trailer's narrative begins with a nostalgic throwback, showcasing gameplay from a classic Java version of Asphalt on a period-appropriate mobile phone, a model I custom-built for this project. The pivotal moment of the film is a "tech leap," where the pixelated car shatters the screen and the confines of its old technology. It then transforms into a fully rendered, next-generation vehicle, a metaphor for the franchise's evolution. This transformation effect was inspired by the movie Pixels, and I meticulously reconstructed and rigged captured footage from the original Java game to make it possible.

The entire project was brought to life in Cinema 4D, utilizing extensive Mograph and X-Particles to create the transformation effects. The resulting video served as a bold and striking centerpiece for the anniversary campaign, resonating with longtime fans and new players alike.
